Hi everyone, I'm back with more muahahahahaha...

Anyway, I think I noticed something. On a front-end screen, say, the main menu, if I place a piece of text in a large font that says something like "PLAY THIS GAME," and I set it to start a new game when clicked, it will only respond to the mouse click if the pointer is in the first 50% of the pixels of the text item. So in this case, when I tested it just now, it only worked if I clicked to the left of the 'I' in the word THIS.

But the funny thing is, this behavior goes away when the item is centered. Is this a bug perhaps?

Obviously, you could get around this by placing a large sprite (an invisible one) behind the text item and set THAT to be the item to click, but if this is indeed a bug then perhaps it should get taken care of.

Thanks.

Bug: Text items only clickable on left side if not centered?

Hi msdos622wasfun,

Thank you for reporting this. It is indeed a bug and I'm going to look into this now.

Just to let you know, we're moving the Front-End editor to be proportional object placement very soon. This will help with playing the game at different resolutions. We will still have the option to centre text and images but there will be more options for positioning and linking items too.

Thanks again,
John

Thanks for looking into it.

Thanks for looking into it. And those enhancements you just mentioned sound like great improvements.
